Afghan Taliban minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to visit India after UN clearance
Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is scheduled to visit India from October 9 to 16 after receiving a travel exemption from the UN Security Council Committee. Confirming the visit, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India will keep sharing updates as developments take place. The visit marks a significant step in India’s ongoing diplomatic engagement with the Afghan interim government. It also comes in the backdrop of India’s consistent humanitarian support, including the swift delivery of relief material to Kunar province after a recent earthquake, as well as additional supplies routed via Chabahar. The trip reflects India’s cautious yet continued outreach.
