15 coaches of goods train derail in Assam’s Digaru

A goods train derailed near Digaru Railway Station in Assam on Saturday. No casualties have been reported in the mishap so far. At least 15 coaches of a goods train derailed in the morning affecting train services on the route. Security forces have been deployed at the accident site and a rescue operation is underway. The railway ministry might order an investigation into the matter once the rescue operation in finished. Several incidents of train derailment have been reported in last 4-5 years.
