Hypertension might increase risk of developing epilepsy Study

Hypertension may double an adult's risk of developing epilepsy, according to a new study.The findings were published in the journal Epilepsia. Hypertension is defined as high blood pressure or elevated blood pressure. It is associated with a 2.44- fold increased risk for epilepsy in adults. Epilepsy affects brain and causes seizures. Hypertension risk can be reduced by various lifestyle changes including a healthy diet.
