Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stirred attention in Alaska by appearing in a sweatshirt bearing the letters “CCCP,” the Russian abbreviation for the former Soviet Union. The outfit was partly concealed under a black gilet, but the “CC” was clearly visible in footage posted online. Lavrov is in Alaska as part of President Vladimir Putin’s delegation for a high-stakes summit with U.S. President Donald Trump. Lavrov said any Ukraine peace deal must account for Russia’s security and rights of Russian-speakers. Watch
