US Yellowstone flooding: Homes and bridges ravaged, Clean up drive begins
Red Lodge resident Pat Ruzich thought the sandbags were enough to hold back the creek near her home that breached as a result of the Yellowstone River flood. But when a bridge collapsed upstream, water was diverted into town and broke through her basement window, filling it with mud and water. This morning, a group of friends, neighbors and volunteer contractors went to her home to help her begin the process of clearing out the yard and basement. For now, she can't even access the basement, as the door has been sealed shut with mud and her belongings.
