U.S. President Donald Trump suggested he may launch strikes on mainland Venezuela, refusing to rule out military action when asked directly by reporters. He claimed Venezuela is sending gang members and drugs into the U.S., calling it “unacceptable.” Trump said, “We’ll see what happens,” when pressed on future action. In response, Venezuela’s defence minister urged citizens to gather at military barracks, signalling heightened tensions and possible preparations for conflict as fears of escalation between the two nations begin to grow.
