Jeffrey Epstein's aide Ghislaine Maxwell has sought to protect herself through the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which ensures protection against self-incrimination. According to reports, Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year jail term for helping Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls, will refuse to answer questions when she appears before House's Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, a letter from U.S. Representative Ro Khanna said.
