US abortion ruling: You have the final word, says VP Kamala Harris
Vice President Kamala Harris decried the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the right to an abortion saying, "millions of women in America will go to bed tonight without access to the health care and reproductive care that they had this morning. With your vote, you can act and you have the final word," she said. The decision by the court's conservative majority overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling and is expected to lead to abortion bans in roughly half the states. Abortion foes cheered the ruling, but abortion-rights supporters, including Harris and President Joe Biden, expressed dismay and pledged to fight to restore the rights.
