Rubio emphasized the need to balance U.S. commitments, arguing that focusing heavily on Ukraine may divert attention and resources from the more critical Indo-Pacific theater. Senator Chris Coons warned that failure to confront Russia could embolden China, but Rubio countered that over-engagement in Europe might weaken America’s Indo-Pacific posture.
