Trump-Xi Jinping Trade Showdown On Cards? Rubio Teases Potential Meeting Between Two Leaders

U.S. President Donald Trump could soon meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. After his first meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Rubio described the talks as "very constructive and positive." He noted that both sides are eager for a Trump–Xi summit, saying the “odds are high” despite ongoing tensions.
