Top Anti-Putin Russian Commander Denis Kapustin Killed In FPV Drone Strike

Prominent anti-Kremlin Russian commander Denis Kapustin, known as “White Rex,” has been killed during a combat mission in southern Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Preliminary reports indicate he was struck by an FPV drone. Kapustin, a far-right activist banned from the Schengen area, relocated to Ukraine in 2017 and helped form Ukraine’s Third Assault Brigade and Third Army Corps. In 2022, he founded the Russian Volunteer Corps to oppose Vladimir Putin, launching cross-border raids into Russia. The militia vowed revenge, calling him a hero whose legacy “lives on.” Ukraine officials say the group operates alongside, but not under, Kyiv’s orders.
