In a statement, Hamas said any political track concerning Gaza must begin with a complete halt to Israeli military operations and the lifting of the blockade. The group urged mediators to enforce the ceasefire agreement and prevent Israel from obstructing humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts. The criticism came after Trump chaired the inaugural Board of Peace meeting in Washington at the United States Institute of Peace. The session focused on advancing the next phase of a fragile Gaza ceasefire, post-war rebuilding, and broader regional diplomacy.
