South Africans pay tribute to late Archbishop Tutu
South Africans mourned the death of the country's Nobel Peace Prize-winning icon Desmond Tutu on Sunday following his death at the age of 90. Tutu was an uncompromising foe of South Africa's past racist policy of apartheid and a modern-day activist for racial justice and LGBT rights. He worked passionately, tirelessly and non-violently to tear down the country's brutal, decades-long regime of oppression against its Black majority that only ended in 1994.
