The United States under the then president, George W Bush, launched a war against Iraq in March 2003. Within a few months, they had dismantled most of Saddam Hussein’s 24-year-old rule sweeping into the heart of Baghdad. It was on December 13 in 2003 that Saddam was finally captured after spending months in hiding. He was found hiding in a tiny underground bunker also known as a ‘spider hole’ at a village near Tikrit.
