Russia Warns Western Peacekeepers In Ukraine Will Be Targeted Without Moscow's Approval
Russia has issued a stark warning to Western allies about the potential deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine. Senior Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik stated that any peacekeepers entering Ukraine without Russia's consent would be considered military targets. Miroshnik's comments were in response to EU Military Committee Chairman Robert Brieger's suggestion that EU peacekeepers could help enforce a ceasefire under a UN mandate.
