Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claims the U.S. is under “unbelievable pressure” from European “hawks” seeking to derail emerging peace efforts on Ukraine. Lavrov referenced Donald Trump's August remarks supporting a direct peace agreement, not just a ceasefire. He added that Trump had proposed a Putin meeting in Budapest — which Moscow agreed to — before Washington reportedly “postponed” it. Lavrov emphasized that Russia remains “polite” and ready to engage, placing responsibility for stalled dialogue on the initiators. Watch
