The war in Ukraine was top of U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s agenda Wednesday as he started a two-day trip to Washington carrying the message that post-Brexit Britain remains an essential American ally in a world of emboldened authoritarian states.House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with a bipartisan group of senators hosted Sunak in various meetings on Capitol Hill.Sunak also visited Arlington Cemetery earlier on Wednesday to lay wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.The UK Prime Minister will also take in a baseball game during his Washington trip.
