Red Cross helps evacuate Ukrainian city of Sumy
Civilians continued to be evacuated from Sumy in Ukraine on Tuesday as part of an ongoing operation by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. Two convoys made up of at least 80 buses left Sumy and were destined for Lubny. Erik Tollefsen, an ICRC staff member present on the ground during the operation, said the humanitarian situation was "incomprehensible." New efforts to bring civilians to safety and deliver aid were underway around the country.
