China's President Xi Jinping expressed his readiness on Monday to collaborate with the United States in fostering stable bilateral ties, as reported by state media. In a congratulatory exchange marking the anniversary of diplomatic relations, Xi and US President Joe Biden, who had previously met in San Francisco in November, pledged to enhance communication to prevent competition from escalating into conflict. On the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Xi emphasized the importance of both sides "taking practical actions to promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US relations." According to state broadcaster CCTV, Xi stated, "I am willing to work with President Biden to continue to navigate China-US relations, benefit both China and the United States and their people, and promote world peace and development." Xi further highlighted that "adhering to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation is the correct way for China and the United States to interact," as reported by CCTV.
