New Orleans holds festival amid virus surge

Singer Charmaine Neville, trumpeters Kermit Ruffins and Jeremy Davenport and more than a dozen jazz and brass bands are performing this weekend at the first music festival to be held by French Quarter Festivals, Inc., since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019. This year will mark the 21st Satchmo Summerfest music festival honoring the life and music of Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong.
