Fresh explosions at an Iranian oil refineries have raised serious questions over the stability of the US–Iran ceasefire announced by President Donald Trump. According to Mehr News Agency, multiple blasts were reported at the Lavan Refinery on Lavan Island — a key energy hub located near the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz. Another alleged attack took place in Siri Island. The cause of the explosions remains unclear, but the incident comes at a highly sensitive moment, with the ceasefire focused on reopening the Strait and stabilising global oil flows.

Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, Representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, has thanked the Government of India for expressing solidarity and support amid heightened tensions in West Asia.
