More than 20 killed in Tennessee floods

A sharp battle of narratives is playing out between Washington and Tehran on day eight of the Iran war. Donald Trump, posting on Truth Social, declared Iran "beaten to HELL," called its apology to neighbours a surrender, and warned Iran would be "hit very hard" on Saturday. He called Tehran "the loser of the Middle East" and predicted it would remain so "for many decades until they surrender or completely collapse." Hours later, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf posted on X that Iran's defence posture was unchanged and that "as long as US bases remain in the region, countries will not enjoy peace." Iran has refused to surrender.
