Military patrols in Colombo amid rampant protest

Amid nationwide unrest in Sri Lanka and raging protests, military armoured vehicles were seen patrolling capital Colombo on July 14.Agitators in Sri Lanka were riled up again after claims of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa fleeing the island nation surfaced on July 13. Sri Lanka faces a severe shortage of fuel and other essential supplies and is in the throes of its worst-ever economic crisis since nation’s independence in 1948.
