Israel Bombs Gaza; Kids Among Several Killed As IDF Claims Attack On Soldier In Northern Strip

The Gaza ceasefire came under immense strain after 10 Palestinians including a five-month-old child were killed in Israeli strikes. The attacks, including tank shelling and airstrikes, were reportedly in response to an attack on IDF troops in northern Gaza, which left an Israeli reservist officer seriously injured. Heavy fighting continued even as Palestinians were allowed back into Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt, reopened this week after Israel’s 2024 seizure aimed at curbing Hamas arms smuggling.
