Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Thursday claimed it launched advanced Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missiles toward Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in a dramatic escalation of the ongoing conflict. According to the Iranian military, the missiles carrying one-tonne warheads were fired at dawn toward Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv and a nearby Israeli Air Force base. The strike, if confirmed, marks one of the most direct threats to Israel’s main international gateway. The Khorramshahr missile is a long-range, liquid-fuelled ballistic system believed to have a range of up to 2,000 kilometres and the ability to carry a heavy explosive payload.
