A top Iranian general has vowed revenge over the U.S. military's torpedo attack which sunk an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean on March 4. Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami claimed that the crew of the destroyer warship had completed a peaceful mission and were targeted while on their way back to Iran. According to officials, the IRIS Dena was struck by a torpedo fired from a U.S. submarine while sailing in international waters. The Sri Lanka Navy rescued 32 sailors and recovered 87 bodies from the sea.
