Ex-associate testifies: Hunter Biden received $100K via Chinese energy firm joint venture

Hunter and James Biden received significant monthly payments in 2017 from a joint venture with a Chinese energy firm associated with the Chinese Communist Party. Mervyn Yan testified about the payments and venture's goal but confessed to being unaware of the specifics of the Bidens' involvement. The venture, named Hudson West III, originated from a brief meeting with Yan, Hunter Biden, James Biden, and a CEFC associate. Its objective was to promote Chinese investment in U.S. energy firms for exports to China. Despite Yan's involvement, he testified to not knowing Hunter Biden's contributions.
