Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro claims his forces foiled a “false flag” plot to bomb the U.S. Embassy in Caracas. Maduro alleged extremist opposition groups planned to frame his government and trigger a U.S. confrontation. The revelation comes amid a U.S. military buildup near Venezuela and Donald Trump’s reported decision to halt diplomatic outreach to Caracas.
