An Iranian military spokesperson said that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a U.S. military installation in northern Iraq with missile strikes. According to Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, five missiles were launched by the IRGC Ground Force at the Harir airbase in the Kurdistan region. The official described the attack as an operation carried out by IRGC missile units against what he called an “aggressive American military base.” The statement was delivered in Farsi and forms part of Iran’s latest military communications regarding operations targeting U.S. positions in the region.
