Closed schools amid virus lead to more child labor

The coronavirus pandemic is threatening the future of a generation of the world's children. It's depriving them of schooling and sending them to work. School closures affect nearly 1.5 billion children around the world. UNICEF estimates millions of children have dropped out. For many, online schooling is offered. But most poor communities have no computer or tv in their homes. This has led to an increase in child labour.
