Chinese owners must sell TikTok stake or risk nationwide ban in the US: Biden administration

The Biden administration has warned Chinese owners of short video app TikTok that it must sell its shares to non-Chinese holders or else it should be ready for a nationwide ban on the app. Concerns about the security of data shared with the Chinese-held app has been a major issue worldwide, and many countries including India have imposed a ban. The concerns are that data of the users could be shared by the company with the Chinese army and the Chinese Communist party.
