China has revealed it rejected a U.S. proposal for defence talks just ahead of the high-profile SCO Summit in Tianjin. Beijing cited a lack of mutual trust and questioned Washington’s intentions. Spokesperson Lin Jian addressed the issue in Beijing, also criticizing U.S. sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction.
