China is hitting back at Washington’s latest sanctions. After the U.S. targeted China-based satellite companies for allegedly helping Iran’s missile program, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun called the move "illegal" and "unilateral." Beijing is accusing the U.S. of using the Middle East conflict as a "pretext" to smear Chinese tech firms and says it will do whatever is necessary to protect its business interests while pushing for a ceasefire in the Gulf.
