German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius rebuked Ursula von der Leyen’s troop remarks. He called her suggestion of EU deployment plans “completely wrong” and irresponsible. Pistorius stressed the EU has no authority over military deployments anywhere. He warned public talk of troop moves sends dangerous signals internationally.
