A $100B Canal To Bypass Hormuz? The Proposal That Could Reshape Global Oil Routes | Iran

As war-hit Iran has choked up the world’s most critical oil artery - the Strait of Hormuz - the world is facing a severe global energy shock, forcing oil prices above $100-$120 per barrel. This crisis has forced those affected, especially the US and its allies, to develop an alternative route to circumvent the strait. One such idea proposed by a data scientist is carving a canal through Oman’s rugged Musandam Peninsula, allowing ships to bypass the Strait entirely.
