If mountains of plastic waste were not bad enough, here's a new and even more direct threat to humans. According to Dutch study published in Environment International, microplastics are lurking in our blood and posing a new danger to human health. And if you think you are spared, because you upcycle plastic? Think again. The study was based on blood samples of 22 healthy volunteers. And there were micro particles in nearly 80% of them.
