From low-lying Kuttanad, a town below sea level in Kerala, to the high-altitude Everest Base Camp in Nepal, Najira Noushad, a 33-year-old homemaker, was on a 50-day solo hitchhiking journey to send out the message that India is safe for women travelling alone. Noushad is a native of Mahe, a town on India’s southwest coast. The travel blogger and the mother of five, packed her bags and began her journey to Nepal on 9th February 2022. She chose mostly trucks for her journey. The Times of India spoke to Noushad to know more about the galaxy of experiences found by this hitchhiker, on her unique journey.
