Rituparna Chatterjee didn't want her childhood abuse to come in the way of her life. She wanted to be the author of her own story, not just a survivor of sexual abuse. But on the path to reclaim her life, she picked the most unexpected, perhaps even the most unusual path- she forgave her abuser. And that she says was the most selfish and self-loving choice she made. In this conversation with TOI, she explains how she found her freedom in forgiveness.
