Is a war between Venezuela and the United States imminent? The Venezuelan military is carrying out a massive mobilisation exercise amid tensions with Washington. Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino López said the nationwide drills, ordered by President Nicolás Maduro, involve not only the 123,000-strong Bolivarian National Armed Forces but also the Bolivarian Militia, a civilian reserve force that Maduro claims numbers over 8 million.
