Rajkumar Santoshi has landed in big legal trouble. The Jamnagar court sentenced the filmmaker to 2 years in jail in the cheque-bouncing case. The court also ordered him to repay double the amount that he owed to the complainant. However, Santoshi denied all such allegations and said he'll appeal to the higher court against the verdict. During a conversation with ETimes, Rajkumar Santoshi said, 'It is a fake case, and we will be lodging an appeal against the verdict in a higher court.' For the unversed, Rajkumar Santoshi had allegedly borrowed Rs. 1 crore from Jamnagar businessman Ashoklal, but could not return the money on time. Later, to repay the money, Rajkumar Santoshi gave 10 bank checks of Rs 10 lakh each to Ashok Lal, but in 2016 all the checks bounced. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
