After the horrifying video of two tribal women being paraded naked on the road by a group of men went viral on social media, many netizens expressed angst over the incident on the microblogging sites. B-town celebs too expressed anger over the shameful incident. Konkona Sen Sharma's mother, Aparna Sen, also reacted and asked how can 'this type of violence' happen in a democracy. During an event, the veteran actress and 'Death in The Gunj' director said, 'I am speechless. My heart is broken.' Not just that, she also reacted to the panchayat polls violence in West Bengal and held CM Mamata Banerjee responsible for the deadly clashes. She said, 'I don't know what the future of West Bengal is, but I can say it is dark.' Condemning the violence and deaths during polls, she added, 'It is sad that a lot of people have died in West Bengal because of the poll. It is hard to comment. All the officers, police, and administration should be aware.' On the other hand, Sana Khan has also penned a note demanding justice for Manipur women and wrote, 'Just saw the horrifying videos of Manipur girls. There are absolutely no words to describe how scary it was to even watch.' She added, 'It was crazy how nothing was done till now when so many people were part of this crime. This needs to be stopped.'
