The Odisha economic offences wing will soon be questioning Govinda in connection with the Rs 1000 crore online Ponzi scam. The actor endorsed products of a company named Solar Techno Alliance, which was found guilty of running the pan-India scam, and also attended its mega event in Goa in July. The investigation agency now wants to know the actor's association with the company and will be questioned to find more clues in the case. In a chat with The Times Of India, EOW inspector general J N Pankaj said, 'We will soon send a team to Mumbai to question filmstar Govinda, who had attended STA's grand function in Goa in July and promoted the company in some videos.' He added, 'For the time being, the actor is neither a suspect nor an accused. His exact role in the case can be ascertained only after investigation. If we find that his role was limited to only endorsement of the product as per their business agreement, then we will make him a witness in our case.' Reportedly, the company collected deposits without any authorization from the Reserve Bank of India to the tune of Rs 1000 crore from over 2 lakh people across the country.
