Boney Kapoor recently reacted to why people believe his and actress Sridevi's first daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, was born out of their wedlock. In an interview with YouTuber Rohan Dua, the filmmaker refuted rumours about the 'Chandni' actress being pregnant with Janhvi before marriage and shared that he tied the knot with Sridevi in 1996 but only made their relationship official in 1997 when her pregnancy was visible. 'My marriage with Sri took place in Shirdi. We got married on June 2, 1996. We exchanged vows and spent a night there. It was only next year, in January when her pregnancy was seen, and thus we had no choice but to marry publicly. In public, we were married only in January 1997. That is why some scribes still write that Janhvi was born before marriage, something like that.' Boney Kapoor has two daughters from Sridevi - Janhvi and Khushi, whereas Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor are the kids from his first wife, Mona Shourie. Sridevi passed away in February 2018, due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel.
