Vedam, in 2010 had paved the way for alternate, unconventional storytelling and a totally riveting one that swirled the mindset of Telugu cinema. Starring Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj, Anushka Shetty and Lekha Washington in the lead roles, the film was directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Media Works. Vedam is best remembered for its riveting storytelling, innovative music and stellar performances. Krish Jagarlamudi’s craft and storytelling prowess are superlative, and no one can deny that! Manoj Bajpayee, Saranya Ponvannan, Deeksha Seth, Lekha Washington, Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, Raghu Babu, Ravi Prakash and Prudhviraj nailed their roles perfectly well. After creating an impact at the box office, the film went on to win many honours including the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film in 2010. Allu Arjun and Anushka Shetty won the Filmfare Best Actor and Best Actress Awards for their performances respectively, while the film was also named the Best Film. It also received recognition in the Best Director category (Krish Jargarlamudi).
