Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh became the talk of the town soon after the film released. The film directed by Harish Shankar went on to become a huge hit at the box office. Pawan Kalyan won several awards for his performance in the film. The action entertainer, which released on May 11, 2012, has been garnering an astounding response from the audience. Not just that, the film broke records with its terrific collection at the box office. Reportedly, Gaabar Singh has acquired a collection of Rs 60 crore and has grossed Rs 35 crore with its worldwide theatrical run, becoming one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time. Also starring Shruti Haasan, Abhimanyu Singh, Ajay, Suhasini Maniratnam, Nagineedu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh and Brahmanandam, Gabbar Singh was an official remake of Hindi film Dabangg starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. The film revolves around a cop, who calls himself Gabbar Singh inspired by a film character, confronts a local thug not to join him in politics. Jayanan Vincent cranked the camera for Gabbar Singh, which has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Gautham Raju edited the flick. After a series of flops, Pawan Kalyan made waves in the industry again when he made a comeback with Gabbar Singh and was lauded for his fine performance in the movie. Considering his diverse filmography over the last 20 years, we have to say his comeback was bang on. Gabbar Singh became unforgettable, thanks to Pawan and Shruti’s stellar act together. Their on-screen chemistry made it extremely difficult to forget the film. Devi Sri Prasad’s music was definitely one of the strongest points in the film.
