Rashmika has rocked as a gramathu ponnu in Sulthan, says Karthi

At the pre release event of Bakkiyaraj Kannan's Sulthan which took place on Wednesday morning in the city, Karthi, who welcomed Rashmika to Tamil industry, was all praise for her in his speech and said he's happy to see her doing a film in Kollywood. Karthi termed her as a bundle of energy and said the actress has given her best as a gramathu ponnu in the film. Interestingly, this is the first time Rashmika is playing a village girl in her career.Karthi said, "I'm sure Rashmika's father must be so happy for her doing a Tamil film because I'm told that he is a big fan of Tamil movies. She wanted to play the role of a pucca village girl and the role Bakkiyaraj had created was perfect for her. She did several things for the role which she never had to do before, like driving a tractor, ploughing, working at paddy fields, and so on. In fact, after a point she said it wasn't that easy to pull off a village-based role. Bakkiyaraj had carved an interesting character for her; it isn't just another heroine role."
