Ever since Vijay Sethupathi has signed the biopic on Sri Lankan cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran, 800, the actor has been embroiled in controversy. A section of people are irked that Vijay Sethupathi is doing a film on Muralidaran as they believe the move will hurt the sentiments of Tamilians across the world. And, now Radikaa Sarathkumar has come out in support of the actor. The actress added that one needs to keep politics, sports and entertainment as separate entities. The motion poster of the film, which is expected to portray the life and struggles of the cricketer, was released recently. Many political leaders and members of the industry have asked VIjay to drop out of the film that celebrates the life of the spin bowler. Meanwhile, the makers and Muralidaran himself have clarified that the film will be a pure sports biography and will have absolutely no connect with Sri Lankan politics.
