Nelson Dilipkumar to direct ‘Thalaivar 169’?

Director Nelson Dilipkumar made his directorial debut with ‘Kolamavu Kokila’, which features Nayanthara in the lead role. The director has been on a roll since and he went on to direct Sivakarthiyan’s ‘Doctor’ which too was well received by fans. The director is now working with Vijay on the movie ‘Beast’ which will be released in January 2022. It has been reported that Nelson will be directing the new film with Rajinikanth. Rajinikanth’s latest release ‘Annaatthe’ was directed by Siva and the movie completed 50 days of its release in theatres. Rajinikanth's next movie, which is being referred to as ‘Thalaivar 169’, has been rumoured to be directed by various directors - if Nelson were to direct the film, it will be his 16th venture. Earlier, it was reported that director Desing Periyasamy, who directed Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kannum Kannum Kolai Adithaal’, will be directing ‘Thalaivar 169’ and the movie will be produced by AGS Entertainment. But there has been no official announcement regarding ‘Thalaivar 169’.
