Karthi to play Prakash Raj's son in 'Viruman'

Karthi will be next seen in 'Viruman', and the actor has reunited with director Muthiah for the film after 'Komban'. The shooting of 'Viruman' is underway in Madurai, and Karthi has been regularly interacting with fans as he is back in the city after a long time. Touted to be a rural drama, 'Viruman' will also be dealing with father and son emotions. Prakash Raj will portray Karthi's father in the film and it will be interesting to witness their camaraderie as father-son. Karthi is sporting a rustic rural look in 'Viruman', while Aditi Shankar is making her Kollywood debut by playing the female lead opposite him. The film also stars Rajkiran and Karunas in important roles, and the film shooting is expected to be wrapped by December end. 'Viruman' will have shades of the director and actor's earlier film 'Komban', but it's going to be a more power-packed family drama this time. After completing the shooting for 'Viruman', Karthi will be resuming the shooting for 'Sardar' with PS Mithran in January.
