Ashok Selvan had a kissing scene with Samyuktha for 'Manmatha Leelai' while he had COVID

Ashok Selvan’s latest film ‘Manmatha Leelai’ directed by Venkat Prabhu was released on April 1. Though the film is an adult comedy, it has been well received by the movie audience in Tamil Nadu. As of now, the movie has been getting positive reviews from the fans who have watched it. In a recent interview with a national news media, Ashok Selvan opened about his experience and interest in working with Venkat Prabhu. The actor, speaking about his role in the movie, stated that he has always been a huge fan of Venkat Prabhu and that when he got a chance to work on an experimental movie, he immediately agreed. Ashok Selvan reportedly stated that he likes to try every other genre and not just stick to one. He added that as an actor while choosing ‘Manmatha Leelai’ he did not think about his image, he just thought that as an actor he had the willingness to try a new genre. In the interview, Ashok Selvan reportedly stated that during an intimate kissing scene with Samyuktha Hegde, he was tested positive for COVID-19; but luckily it did not transmit to anybody else. He reportedly stated that he was very tired and had a headache. Assuming that it was because of the hectic schedule of shooting, Ashok Selvan ignored it. He stated that after the kissing scene, he had a mild temperature and was then tested positive for COVID. Ashok Selvan added that he immediately informed Samyuktha Hegde, however the actress tested negative later. He reportedly said that no one in the movie sets was infected by COVID from him.
